Pointe-du-Buisson Archaeological Park is proud to announce that the archaeology camp Archéo-Ados is now certified by the Association des camps du Québec!

Archéo-Ados, a camp for the 12 to 15-year-olds, offers archaeological and outdoor recreational activities in an exceptional environment. Teens will experience a world of fun, challenge and discovery while they learn about archaeology, the world of the Amerindians and ecology.
During their stay, campers will have the opportunity to find out about several facets of archaeology on one of the most important prehistoric archaeological sites in the north-east of our continent.
Under the supervision of two experienced archaeologists, participants will dig into a real site, handle and analyze the objects they find and be asked to interpret the results of their research. Their finds will enrich the Pointe-du-Buisson collection and help document the 5,000-year history of the site.

• Archaeological Digs
• Visit of an Iroquoian archaeological site
• Rabaska excursion on Lake Saint-François
• Making of prehistoric tools
• Line fishing
• Campfires
• Walks on the Park's nature trails

Duration: One week, from Sunday afternoon to Saturday noon

The Park has all the necessary facilities to welcome campers. During their stay, they will be accompanied and supervised by an experienced camp counselor and one archaeologist-guide.

Pointe-du-Buisson Archaeological Park is now offering a day camp!
The activities are the same as for the camp Archéo-Ados, but your child do not spend the night at the Park. Reservations starts in May.
Duration: One week (5 days)
Dates: July 14 to 19, 2008
Maximum number of participants: 12
Age group: 9 to 12
The day camp is also certified by Association des camps du Québec.
